ACON has partnered with the wonderful Cass Campbell (She/Her) from Music for the Mind to bring you Drum It Up! A Community Drum Circle for LGBTQ+
“Drumming has been used by communities throughout the ancient and modern worlds and its health benefits are far reaching. My DRUM IT UP sessions will EMPOWER you by igniting your energy in a powerful circle of drummers. I will teach you rhythms on the djembe or hoop drums in a fun and safe environment- Cass”.
When: Saturday 26th October 2024
Time: 6pm – 7pm. Light snacks provided and an opportunity to connect afterwards.
Where: The Hive – 150 Beaumont Street, Hamilton, NSW, 2303
Cost: This is a free event
The drumming circle is open to LGBTQ+ people over 18. All skill levels are welcome and, no experience is necessary. All equipment including Djembe & hoop drums will provided, and there will be a variety of percussion instruments.
Due to limited spaces, registration is essential.
Please note that the drums will be played in an indoor setting; if you require earplugs some can be provided on the night.
