LifeChanger provides preemptive and holistic mental health programs for students in Years 5-12. Our dynamic workshops cover a wide range of topics, including mental health, resilience, self-esteem, purpose, balance, and leadership.  
UMatter Awareness is about sharing the after effects of suicide and create awareness in our community.
I lost my husband and daughter to suicide within 5 months.

Healing Path to Wellness exists to alleviate the symptoms of those living with mental ill-health, emotional distress, trauma, chronic pain and special needs; empowering a hope-filled life.
We offer an integrated pathway of support, healing and hope for every individual.

We offer accredited counselling (including medicare rebate sessions), art therapy, nutrition, physical therapy, and life coaching.

SHED ART THEREPY 

I provide art therapy across the Newcastle, Lake Mac, Hunter and Central Coast region. I work mainly with youth in private practice and organisations this can be one on one and in group settings. 
Our business specifically assists people on the NDIS scheme for ongoing and permanent Mental Health Concerns. We are a registered NDIS provider assisting Participants in Newcastle, Maitland and The Hunter with Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, Support Work and Support Coordination. All Mental Health Support Workers do CALM suicide prevention training or Mental Health Training with a Clinical Nurse Consultant. Currently, all of our Psychosocial Recovery Coaches have both lives and learnt Mental Health education. Sunflower is extremely passionate about engaging with NDIS participants through a Trauma Informed Lens. 
We are on a mission to start mental health conversations & break down stigma associated with common mental health problems through mental health training, corporate training and mental health first aid courses. Accreditation lasts for a period of 3 years and All MHFA™ courses are evaluated, using rigorous scientific methods, to ensure they are having a positive impact. Some studies have also shown improved mental health in those who attend the training, decreases in stigmatising attitudes and increases in the amount and type of support provided to others.

Our mission is to provide the Indigenous Community with the resources they require for education and employment to ensure all our people can achieve #blakexcellence.

 

Mirabel supports children who have been orphaned or abandoned by their parents due to parental illicit drug use and who are now living with extended family in kinship care
(both formal and informal).
 Each child is central to the way Mirabel works. Our tailored services include:
• Informal counselling and support via the telephone
• Therapeutic groups and individual support (Hunter Region)
• Recreation programs and educational assistance
• Children and family events and camps
• Needs‐assessment, referral to additional specialist services, advocacy

Newcastle Psychology & health is a small, well-established Practice located in Lambton, Newcastle. We see presentations from adults and young people (High School age and above) from all walks of life. Common issues are depression, anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship issues, sexaul issues, ADHD, workplace, trauma, PTSD, bullying, harrassment, suicidality, as well as working out life and working out meaning issues. Medicare rebates are available, and there are discounted rates available for those in financial hardship. We are vdry friendly and people will receive a very warm welcome and personable engagement with out admin staff. Our books are open. 
EquiEnergy Youth is a not for profit and charity delivering our evidence based ‘Coach 2 Cope’ programs for educators, other professionals (Health services, NGO’s) and parents/carers aimed at reducing psychological distress, self-harm and the risk of suicide in young people. Our programs are underpinned by our TAR3 Psychological First Aid framework developed from our Clinical Director Dr Stephen Spencer’s PhD research project.
Tailored Youth and Family Services (TYFS) supports young people and families 7-18 years who may be facing challenges and tough times including but not limited to things such as mental health, behaviour support and more. TYFS is a free service in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle LGA’S. We provide school groups, counselling, home visits and parenting programs.
ITEC Youth (part of ITEC Group Australia) delivers a range of youth services across NSW, SA, QLD and NT. In the Hunter Region, ITEC Youth is the provider of several NSW Department of Communities and Justice funded services including the Youth Justice Casework Support Program, Family Group Conferencing and Rent Choice Youth. 

CAHMS SAFEGUARDS

CAHMS Safeguards is an initiative within NSW Health created in response to the need for young people in crisis to have timely access to assessment and interventions which may help them at this challenging time in their and their families’ lives. Safeguards can only be accessed through a referral to the Mental Health Line   1800 011 511. We are a small but dedicated team committed to working in partnership with young people 0-18 and their families to help them cope and find a way forward when facing a crisis in wellbeing due to life stress.
Young Warrior Hearts provides emotional resilience support and mindfulness education to children, adolescents and teenagers. Young Warrior Hearts facilitates the ‘Peaceful Kids’ and ‘Peaceful Kids’ programs each term in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Maitland regions – this program is a mindfulness and positive psychology education program that focuses on building resilience and lessening anxiety. Young Warrior Hearts also provides Kids and Teens Yoga programs, in addition to regular workshops during the school term and in school holidays.
